Bij artrose, ontstaan door reuma, eerder letsel of spontaan, van het DRU gewricht (het gewricht tussen spaakbeen en ellepijp) kan er lokaal pijn zijn. Dit verhevigt bij draaibewegingen en krachtsuitoefening met de pols. In bepaalde gevallen is het mogelijk dit probleem te behandelen met een prothese van het DRU gewricht.
